We are currently seeking a Casual Driver to join our team who is available to work most Mondays with the occasional additional shift throughout the week.

Our Drivers are responsible for much more than just driving. We look to our Drivers to: prepare daily vehicle inspection and driver logs, be familiar and comfortable working with computers, perform lifebus shuttles, work hands-on with packaged blood product, frequently travel with a team, pitch in at our mobile clinics, and much more! Our drivers will be working very closely with our Clinic Services team and also with the general public - so an aptitude for customer service is imperative!

The incumbent operates and maintains Canadian Blood Services’ vehicles, completes collection on mobile clinics, packs and transports blood products, supplies, employees, volunteers, donors and related equipment, as directed.

  • Receive, prepare and ship blood products/specimens.
  • Perform various duties as a member of the Collection team on mobile clinics, according to Good   Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain Canadian Blood Services’ vehicle fleet.
  • Understand and use Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Centre Operating Procedures (COPs) as a source of information and guidance in the performance of all duties.
  • Comply with Transport Canada Hours of Service Regulations, National Safety Code and provincial Highways Traffic Acts.
  • Required Skills
  • Completion of a secondary school program.
  • Must possess & maintain a valid Class 4 Saskatchewan Driver's License.
  • A minimum of 3 years professional driving experience.

The Director, Policy and Programs provides strategic direction and management support for key programs and initiatives led by Trucking HR Canada. Cardinal Health Canada is currently seeking AZ and DZ Drivers for permanent, full time openings. Our Transportation team work Monday to Friday, or Sunday to Thursday with 44 hours per week guaranteed with the ability to return home after a completed shift.


AZ drivers are needed on the night shift with schedules starting between 6-8pm and ending within 8-10 hours of work, on most days, depending on the route and weather conditions. AZ drivers for day shift should be willing to perform some DZ duties when required. 


DZ drivers provide a White Glove / customer focused service and would be working during the day shift.


Candidates will be primarily responsible for vital and timely deliveries. On a daily basis this position will work in conjunction with the Transportation team and Operations group ensuring that all customer requirements are delivered in an efficient and professional manner. The candidate must perform their duties by operating all equipment within compliance of Ministry and Cardinal Health Canada`s safety standards.


  • Valid AZ license with a clean abstract, with 2-3 years driving experience.
  • Valid DZ license with a clean abstract, with 2-3 years driving experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, customer service oriented with great communication skills.
  • Physically able to manage/ push  full carts – lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of MTO Regulations.
  • On Board Computer knowledge an asset.
  • Must be flexible in their duties.
  • Flex hours may be required.
